Was it love at first sight when Carrie Underwood met her future fiance Mike Fisher in October 2008?
The country star isn't saying, but when the pair were set up by friends to meet backstage at a Toronto concert, Underwood fretted about the hockey player
"I made sure he came in with some other people," she says in the March issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. "I was like, 'what if he's weird?'"
The matchmaking worked, of course: Underwood, 26, and Fisher, 29, confirmed their engagement Dec. 21 of last year. The singer has been flashing her flawless yellow diamond ring by Jonathon Arndt-- worth about $150,000 -- during the current awards season.
