Country Legends 100.7 welcomes country legend, Merle Haggard to the Florida Theatre. The word "legend" usually makes an appearance at some point when discussing Merle Haggard. It's an acknowledgement of his artistry and his standing as "the poet of the common man." It's a tribute to his incredible commercial success and to the lasting mark he has made, not just on country music, but on American music as a whole. Studying, analyzing and observing the details of life around him, Haggard relays what he sees, hears and feels through his songs. The lyrics are deceptively simple, the music exceptionally listenable.

- Parking information: There are several privately operated parking lots within a few blocks of the Theatre, and on-street meter parking is free after 5:00pm. The Theatre strongly recommends that patrons use the City-owned Yates Parking Garage on the corner of Adams and Newnan Streets (entrance on Adams Street), one block from the Theatre's front doors. There is a charge of $5.00; The garage is well lighted and secure.
- Directions: From Jacksonville's Northside, Amelia Island, and Georgia
Take I-95 south to the Union Street exit, then go east 12 blocks to Newnan Street. Turn right, then go eight blocks to the corner of Forsyth Street. The Theatre is right in front of you.
From Jacksonville's Southside and St. Augustine
Take I-95 north to the "Downtown" exit, and use one of the right two lanes to cross the Main Street Bridge (the blue drawbridge). Both lanes of the bridge continue onto Ocean Street at its foot; go one block to Forsyth Street and turn right. Half a block down, you're in front of the Theatre.
