If you play an instrument, come join in! If you just sing, talk to us and if we know the song, we'll play the instruments to accompany you!

Acoustic instruments are welcome on Friday evenings--guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobro, upright bass, banjo, harmonica, accordion, autoharp, other acoustic instruments--if it doesn't need to be amplified, you're welcome to bring it Fridays--we've even had bagpipes here before! Check in with Friday host Hoydt Drury to get in the lineup.

Electric instruments, keyboards/piano, pedal steel, amplifiers and drums are allowed on Saturday evenings only. This night is not an open jam session.

The music is provided by the Woodbine Opry Band and the Saturday night host is Bob Staats. If you are interested in performing, contact Bob to check on getting scheduled into the line-up. Only those musicians that are invited by the host will be allowed to sit-in with the band.

Camden House Crisis Center launched its 2010 membership drive on February 1, 2010. The program which is called "Friends of Camden House", is a series of activities that will include community presentations, information mailings, fund raising events and a new web site. 3/12 - 3/14 St. Augustine Lions Seafood Festival presented by Winn-Dixie Stores Get ready for great seafood nearly any way you want it; tap your toes to live bluegrass, folk and country music, then stroll through more then 100 arts and crafts exhibitors. These are just a few of the highlights of the 29th St. Augustine Lions Seafood Festival presented by Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc.. This three-day event is a favorite throughout northeast Florida and features tons of delicious seafood, outstanding music and affordable arts & crafts. The event has fun for all ages, so bring the kids. The business showcase, contests and prizes add to the fun. You can win groceries, gifts and cash prizes. To be held at Francis Field at 29 W. Castillo Drive in St. Augustine, next to the Visitors Center garage. Festival hours are 3-9 p.m. on Friday, March 12th, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. For the second year the Festival will be hosting the Americana Roots Idol Competition. Bands and Musicians can audition for a chance at becoming a semifinalist. Semifinalists will perform at the Festival on Saturday, where they will be judged by a panel of professionals. The top three will return on Sunday to perform again and find out who wins! Do you love crabcakes? Then you need to be at the 29th Lions Seafood Festival. Numerous vendors will be competing against each other for the title of the Best Crabcake. Seafood vendors from as far away as Maryland will offer up their own famous crabcakes to the public and the judges.

The music just gets better each year. This year the headliner will be Valerie Smith with Liberty Pike. Valerie has a worldwide following and has been honored with many awards and nominations. Featured acts include Katherine Archer, Lonesome Bert with the Skinny Lizards, Southern Lite , Vinny Jacobs and Coastal Blue.

3/20 2010 St. Johns River Celebration Please mark your calendars for the 2010 St. Johns River Celebration. The 2010 event will be March 20th from 8am-12noon with lunch immediately following at Camp Chowenwa. This year we have registered with the HandsOn Network to allow our volunteers to participate in the Give a Day. Get a Disney Day promotion.

Beginning January 20, 2010 follow the link below to register yourself and up to 8 other family members in your household for the 2010 St. Johns River Celebration and receive a voucher for one of the Walt Disney World theme parks for participating volunteers (once hours are worked and verified). 3/20 Bikes Bars Cards and a Cure Poker Run - American Cancer Society Please help raise money for the American Cancer Society by hopping on your motorcycle and participating in the Bikes Bars Cards and a Cure Poker Run Saturday, March 20. The ride will cover 120 miles and all four corners of St. Johns County. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Finnegan's Wake and kickstands will go up at 10 a.m. Registration is $25 for the rider and $15 for a passenger. The poker run will end at Royal St. Augustine Golf & Country Club. There will be live music, food, a 50-50 auction and the B-2 Bomber Motorcycle built by Orange County Choppers for Northrop Grumman will also be on display. 5/7 - 5/8 2010 Jacksonville Kayak Fishing Classic JaxKayakFishing.com, Northeast Florida's online kayak fishing community, is hosting the world's largest kayak fishing tournament on May 7th and 8th. The 7th annual Jacksonville Kayak Fishing Classic promotes kayak fishing in Jacksonville with a fun conservation-oriented format and raises funds for children's programs at the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville, Daniel Memorial, and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.

With over 175 registered early, officals expect that more than 350 kayak anglers will target Redfish, Trout and Flounder in a catch-photo-release format with more than $80,000 in prizes and gifts. Last year's Classic raised over $40,000 for local children's and conservation charities.

The captain's meeting is scheduled for May 7th at Jacksonville's St. Ephrem Syriac Catholic Church. Check-in, awards, ceremonies and a banquet are set for May 8th at Jacksonville's St. Ephrem Syriac Catholic Church. The entry fee is $60 and includes a captain's bag with trounament t-shirt, rights to fish, entry into the raffles and banquet. Anglers will be launching and fishing at any inshore location within Duval, Nassau, St. John's, Camden and Glynn counties.

Trophies, kayaks, fishing gear and gift certificates will be awarded for first place through fifth place finishers in four open divisions.
